In the morning the sub read us notes that the teacher left.

Then we went to band.  There was nothing new, and we did a page and a half.

Today we had library, and Mrs. S. introduced the book Stormchaser.

Transition time.  So for math we had two math tests and learned how to read a centimeter scale.

Next we had reading, and we did reading questions about the Yupik Eskimos.

Then Language Arts came and we did a poem with prepositional phrases.

For recess we watched a movie, The Littles.  And for lunch we had chili and chicken patty.

For A.R. we read to try to get to 40%.

Then we went to social studies and we started a new lesson about Japan.

Then for science we read a sheet.

The first thing we did today was move our attendance tags over, and make lunch choice. Then after we were situated, we wrote about what we could have done to help Martin Luther King Junior’s Dream for everyone to get along. Then we left for band where some of us learned a new note. After band we went of fto gym, where it was our last day for badminton. Our next subject for gym is baseball/racquetball.

We headed up to class for math, where we did some review. And learned how to pronounce numbers with billion in them.

After math it was transition time, with reading next, we did another response journal sheet anda page about capitals. After that we worked on language arts, where we worked on our articles.

Yeah recess. That is when we socialized. Same with lunch. For lunch we had French toaststicks.

Then it was A.R. where we can catch up on our goals that we are supposed to be at ninety right now.

Then we packed up for social studies we read lesson 9,and when we were done with reading we worked on our study guides.

Finally it was science class, where we learned about condensation, evaporation, freezing, andmelting. We did our worksheets, did our jobs, and left for the day. Bye bye!

In the morning we ordered lunch and moved our attendance tags.  For lunch we had chicken tenders and hot dogs.  I asked Hannah what she thought about the chicken tenders.  She said, “they’re great”.  Then Ms. Morris read a book called Ming Lee.

Ming Lee was about a panda bear who was always complaining about noise, and when she finally got quiet time, she wanted noise.  Ming Lee then found a parrot and decided “this is my kind of bird,” because it copied her and did the same as her.  This story was based on being tolerant, which is our character for this month.

When we were done with the book we grabbed our band books and went to band.  We had more chair testing.  One for the flutes, and one for saxophone.  After that we put instruments and books away and went to art.

In art we made Japanese Garden pictures with special water paint colored pencils.  While some people were finished, others continued working.

After art, we went to math and had snack.  In math we learned about different kinds of triangles, one is called equilateral.  Then Ashlee, a Girl Scout, got her candy back from selling it.

Next, our transition alarm went off so we got our reading books, our journal books, and orange folders out.  Afterwards, we got our diagrams out and drew more of our pictures we’d colored, and labeled our ten labels.  For Language Arts we wrote in our journals because this week is the last week.  Oh! No!

For recess, we hung out with friends.  Some played kickball, others hung out by the balance beam.  For lunch we lined up silently, and for the kids who got 400 or 500 words during their stories got popsicles.

During A.R. we read quietly, while some students wrote quietly, and others went to the library.  However, no MelCat books came in.

Then we headed to Social Studies with Miss B.  In Social Studies we played baseball, exactly like the regular game, excet without running, and without strikes.  We made two teams, called The Historians and Foohys.  The Historians won by a landslide, but that’s okay because we all had fun!

Finally we went to Science class, which was difficult.  Afterwards we went home, saying goodbye to our teachers.

Today we came in at a so-called whisper volume.  We did attendance and then lunch count.  We read.

At 8:15 we went to band and more people got to put their whole instrument together.  Then at 9:10 we went to art and finished drawing horses.

We went back to class after art and ate snack while doing math.  In math we did division, which was review for some of us, then we did a transition for Language Arts.

In Language Arts we read and summarized and had a partner who said “plus” what the summarize person forgot.

Then at 12:30 we went to recess and I asked Fiona how she felt about Halloween.  She said, “I enjoy it”.  We had lunch next.  We had Chicken Patty and Ravioli.

We went to class and we got extra A.R. time and MelCats came in.

Then we got ready for social studies and read another chapter of our history book, then answered a test question.

We went to science, which is back in Ms. Morris’s room.  We took notes about atoms, then at the end of the day we went home.

In band we did the first part of our test.  Then we went to art.  We drew a picture of a horse.

Then we went to class, ate our snack, and got ready for the MEAP.  It was Language Arts.  When we were about done we did math.  In math we learned about equal problems.  Yeah!

Then after AR we have some science for 15 minues.  Then we get to go to the Tuba Bach where an opera singer comes.  We had fun there because we got to sing too.  Then we got ready to go home.  Bye!
