Wednesday October 31, 2007

Today we came in at a so-called whisper volume.  We did attendance and then lunch count.  We read.

At 8:15 we went to band and more people got to put their whole instrument together.  Then at 9:10 we went to art and finished drawing horses. 

We went back to class after art and ate snack while doing math.  In math we did division, which was review for some of us, then we did a transition for Language Arts.

In Language Arts we read and summarized and had a partner who said “plus” what the summarize person forgot. 

Then at 12:30 we went to recess and I asked Fiona how she felt about Halloween.  She said, “I enjoy it”.  We had lunch next.  We had Chicken Patty and Ravioli. 

We went to class and we got extra A.R. time and MelCats came in. 

Then we got ready for social studies and read another chapter of our history book, then answered a test question.

We went to science, which is back in Ms. Morris’s room.  We took notes about atoms, then at the end of the day we went home.

Homework for Tuesday October 30, 2007

Reading – The last day of the marking period is Friday, so you should be at 100% of your A.R.
goal by Friday. Read as much as you need to to get to this point.

Gym Day

The day started when we went up to our class. We grabbed our lunch and things.  We did our lunch count.  And then we had band.  We learned a lot of notes in band.  And then we had gym class.  We learned how to dribble a soccer ball. 

In Math we played a game about factors.  And we corrected our papers.  Sorry forgot snack. And we learned how to divide.  And we rewrote Juggling. Not the whole story.  

And then recess. We can’t wait until recess.  And at lunch we all had fun.  Then A.R. reading. 

And in social studies we read lesson 7 in the social studies book.  And we learned all the atoms. We did our planners, and we stacked up our chairs, and started to pack up.

This morning we walked in, greeted Ms. Morris and sat down.  We all got out our planners and Ms. Morris talked.  Then I raised my hand and said “Look at the time!”.

We all lined up for band.  When we got downstairs the study hall kids: Juwan, Kavoceya, Logan, and Kassandra, went upstairs with Ms. Morris.  Band kids played with their partners that we picked. 

When band was over we all went to the library where we read a lot!

When we were done with library we did our math transition and ate snack.  Today we learned how to list factors in whole numbers. 

When we were done with math we did our Language Arts transition.  In Language Arts we got back papers and did our questions.  Also, we did spelling pre-test.  When we were done we all went out to RECESS!  Everybody (almost) played kickball.  Some kids played games.  When recess was done we went to lunch.  Today we had hamburger stew. 

When lunch was over we went back to class and read A.R.  I think everybody loves A.R.!  When A.R. was done, Ms. Morris read No Talking to us.  I like that book.

Then we went to Social Studies and had a sub and her name was Miss T.  She was nice.  When we were reading we all got back band fundraiser! A lot of people got twisty pens.

When social studies was done we went back to Ms. Morris and did Science.  In Science we took notes.  When science was done we packed up, filled out planners, and went home.
